Food Love Farm

The Food Love Farm gives visitors a glimpse into our natural world offering endless hours of exploration, food education and good old fashioned farm fun.

Please note: All 2020 activities at Food Love Farm are being modified to conform with local and state regulations on social distancing.  As these requirements continue to change, so will our modifications on the farm.  If you have any specific questions, please contact us.

Farm School

We are excited to invite K – 6th grade students to “Farm School” this fall!  Four full-day sessions in September will offer students curriculum-based, hands-on activities to explore and observe soil, garden critters, nutrition, and of course our famous Food Love Farm chickens.  Get the details and register now!

Homesteading Workshops

Why let the kids have all the farm fun? Grown-ups – this one’s for you! Join the Food Love Farmers for a day of learning, sharing, and crafting.  Like summer camp, but for grown-ups, on September 30 and October 14th.  Get the details and register today!

Field Trips

During the spring and fall, the Food Love Farm welcomes hundreds of students to experience the growing cycle of local food.  We work with teachers to support classroom curriculum while showcasing what’s happening on the farm.  A fun and tasty educational experience, we serve groups from ages 4 and up.

Did your kids miss their favorite farm field trip this spring?  Now your family can experience the magic of the Food Love Farm with your very own “field trip!” Reserve the farm for 90 minutes and enjoy it at your own pace. Feed the chickens, play worm bin BINGO, move through the pre-set activity stations, or just bring a picnic and enjoy it under the shade of the hops teepee. This personal farm experience for your family is $40 for 90 minutes and is available to reserve on Mondays and Fridays from 8 am to 4 pm, beginning June 1.

If your family would prefer a guided experience, sign up for a farmer-led field trip!  A Food Love Farm educator will lead your family through the farm, stopping for activities and fresh farm tastings along the way.  This 90 minute farm experience is $75 per family.  These field trips are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 3 pm, also beginning the week of June 1.

Please email Emily Koller to make an appointment for a self-guided or farmer led field trip

Farm Stand

Every Tuesday, from June through October, the farm stand will be open from 4:30-6:30 pm. To help keep our community safe and exposure minimal, we will be harvesting and handling all the produce, flowers, and herbs ourselves and have them ready for purchase when you arrive! We have been busy planting all sorts of certified organic fruits, vegetables, and flowers and are eager to share the farm’s bounty! Come visit us and check out what seasonal goodies we have for sale!  Cash, check and EBT are all accepted.

Look for the harvest menu posted on the Sierra Harvest’s Facebook page each week.

Summer Camp

Every summer in July, the Food Love Farm hosts its own day camp for ages 6-12!  It’s a great way to immerse kids in the joy and wonder of growing (and eating!) fresh vegetables.  Learn more about summer camp.
