Are you wondering what to do with all of the garden abundance…or maybe you find yourself simply wanting to preserve your garden and pop open some summer berries to enjoy in the snowy winter season. Canning and Food Preservation is the key!  We will learn about safely canning high acid fruits and low acid vegetables, using both the water bath method as well as pressure canning methods following the National Food Preservation Guidelines.  In addition to demonstrating a fruit preserve process and pickling vegetables, we will also discuss other options like canned pie fillings and homemade apple cider vinegar.   This is a must experience class for anyone who wants to learn country kitchen and homesteading skills that you can use for years to come.

SEVERAL PRICE OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE. We have two options for Cooking Class registration, General Admission is $35, the price is $45 for our Benefactor Level (Benefactors support our Kitchen Kindness tickets!).
