Briarpatch Co-op Cooking Classes: TOMATO FEST

With California’s long growing season for tomatoes, we’re able to enjoy these healthy and versatile fruits throughout the summer and into early fall. In this class we’ll make a Creamy Tomato Soup with Herb Oil Garnish, Poached Eggs in Spicy Tomato Sauce, and Penne with Tomato Sauce. The class will also include tips on storage, prep (the easiest way to skin a tomato), a review of different varieties, and valuable nutritional facts.
