They harvest rain for crops, capture rain in swales, and use biodynamic and permaculture practices. From downtown Nevada City, cross over the Hwy 49 bridge and continue straight through the stop sign and onto Boulder. Boulder will turn into Red Dog Rd, and continue on. You will hit a stop sign at Quaker Banner/Banner Lava Cap; turn right. At your first opportunity to turn left, turn left onto Red Dog Cross Rd/Red Dog Rd. Go about 1.5 – 2 miles down Red Dog Cross Rd/Red Dog Rd. About .5 mile past Buckeye there will be a sign nailed to a tree on the right side that says Tumbling Creek Road,
turn right (if you’ve hit dirt on Red Dog Cross/Red Dog Rd, you have gone too far! Turn around, and look for Tumbling Creek Rd on the left after Live Oak).  After turning right onto Tumbling Creek Road (a dirt road) and go about a half mile.  The driveway is on the LEFT, exactly .5 mile down the road, 14145 Tumbling Creek Road. There is a fake garden squirrel sitting on a stump at the beginning of the driveway. You may park either by the garden area or by the modular.
