Farm Potluck Sept. 21st: Dinner Bell Farm

Join the Dinner Bell Farm team on their little slice of heaven in Chicago Park.  Now in their 8th year of production at Dinner Bell Farm, they specialize in pasture-raised, heritage breed pigs, and beautiful fresh flowers.   Molly Nakahara and Paul Glowaski, will have flowers and pork for sale during the potluck.  Kid friendly event! Buy Fresh From the Farm!
Fill a cooler bag while you’re out at the farm!  They will have pork (roasts, chops, bacon, sausage & lard) available.  Also available will be a handful of their signature, pre-made, gorgeous bouquets available and a Build-Your-Own bouquet option (pay by the stem.)  Cash is best but local checks and credit cards also accepted.  Did you know that they teach flower arranging workshop on our farm?  Check out their website for more information and sign up today!

Schedule of Events

5:30 pm – Meet at 17100 Lower Colfax Road to meet our pasture-raise PIGS with Farmer Paul
6:15 pm – Circle up for DINNER at 14119 Judy Lane – PLEASE CARPOOL if possible as parking is limited.

What to bring:
Utensils, a plate and cup for yourself/selves.
A bountiful dish to share (with serving utensil and label of key ingredients and allergens.)
A blanket or chair to sit on.
A healthy appetite.
A cooler/cooler bag to bring home your Dinner Bell Farm pork.
Cash/checkbook/CC for farm direct purchases.

Directions to Dinner Bell Farm Tour at 5:30PM – “The Hill” (where the piggies live)

Meet at 17150 Lower Colfax Road. 
Head towards Colfax on Hwy 174
About 8 miles outside of Grass Valley turn right on Powerline Road
Turn left on Lower Colfax Road
Drive about ¼ mile, 17150 will be on your right. 
Metal gate will be open.  Look for Peach orchards.  Drive on in and park along just off the main, dirt road.

Head towards Colfax on Hwy 174
About 8 miles from Grass Valley turn right on Powerline Road
Stay straight at the stop onto Judy Lane 
Please drive 10 mph!!
After 200 yards, Veer left between two 10 mph signs
Stay right at the next fork, drive downhill passeneighbors house
All the way down the hill, past pond
And uphill to the farm
