Farm Tour at Richards Grassfed Beef Ranch – Thurs. Sept. 16th, 2021 from 5:00-6:30PM
After many years of research on pastured meats and clean eating, Carrie Richards, along with her sister Noelle and brother Tom started Richards Grassfed Beef in 2012. Carrie’s family had been raising grass fed beef on their 6,500- acre ranch in Yuba County for as long as they could remember, and it was time for the 4th generation to make their mark. It started simple, selling whole and half animals to their friends and family and quickly grew into a full blown meat company. By 2013, Richards Grassfed was selling wholesale beef to grocery stores, restaurants and butcher shops across the Bay Area and Sacramento and have now started an online store.
Seeing the need to expand the business and improve production at their home ranch, Carrie, her husband Daniel and their two kids moved from Oakland back to Carrie’s family ranch.
Richards Grassfed Beef is certified by the American Grassfed Association and is the first company on the west coast to be approved by the Savory Institute’s Ecological Outcome Verified program. This program trains ranchers in holistic management and monitors their land focusing on water cycle, carbon sequestration and ecosystem function.
Watch an informative and gorgeous film about the ranch (24 minutes).
