Nevada County’s Sustainable Food and Farm Conference will once again bring together a diverse panel of speakers, farming related businesses and organizations, for a weekend full of informative lectures, a food and farming exposition, plus numerous workshops for all levels of farming and ranching.

The Conference will take place on Saturday and Sunday, January 10th and 11th. This year we will again hold The Keynotes of Sustainable Farming and Exposition at the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Hall.

This Years Keynote Speakers are:

Eliot Coleman: One of the most well respected organic farmers in the USA, author of The New Organic Grower and Four Season Harvest
Mark Shepard: CEO of Forest Agriculture Enterprises, a 106 acre sustainable food forest author of Restoration Agriculture..
Jim Hightower: Humorist, national radio commentator and a previous Texas Ag Commissioner, author Swim against the Current: Even a Dead Fish Can Go With the Flow

Farm Conference events run from Friday, January 9th to Sunday, January 11th 2015
• Friday,Jan 9th: Tour of three farms and ranches
• Saturday, Jan 10th: Keynote speakers, expo and in-depth workshops  with Eliot Coleman or Mark Shepard.
• Sunday, Jan 11th: Full day of 20 workshops on a wide variety of food and farming subjects.
