Sierra Harvest Farm Potluck at Broadfork Farm, September 1

Broadfork Farm is a microfarm on one and half acres, a family farm run by Farmer Nancy, and her son Farmer Ian.  Located in Peardale, this unique farm uses the “zero mile garden” concept and no-till farming methods. Read more about Broadfork farm in a recent article published in The Union.

The farm stand is self-serve, located directly on the farm, 9am – 7pm every day.

Schedule of Events
Come at 5:30 for a tour of the farm with Farmer Nancy and Farmer Ian.   We’ll circle up for dinner at 6pm.

What to bring:
Utensils, a plate and cup for yourself/selves
A bountiful dish to share, (its nice to label key ingredients for those with allergies)
A blanket to sit on
A healthy appetite

Directions from Nevada City/Grass Valley:  Broadfork Farm is located at 13624 North Meadow View (not “Meadow View”).  Take Hwy 174 towards Colfax, after the Brunswick Y, about a half mile, make a left on North Meadow View, and the farm is the second house on the left.
