Do you love fresh, locally grown food?  Join us for dinner and enjoy a hearty soup with our community of all ages with live bluegrass music by Past, Due & Playable.  Meet local farmers who offer direct sales of vegetables, flowers, meat, dairy products and more.  You could also win a cooking class at the Briar Patch!  Adult admission is $10 for adults – kids eat for free! Bring your own bowls and spoons. Local beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

Fresh Starts is CCOF certified organic since February 2014, and previously registered organic with CDFA beginning April, 2011. A member of Nevada County Grown since its inception, Fresh Starts sells privately at the farm by appointment, at the Miner’s Foundry Mother’s Day Plant Sale, BriarPatch, Peaceful Valley and Kurt’s Garden.
Fresh Starts will have plants available at Soup Night! Look for lettuce, onions, chard, kale, leeks and so much more! Cash or check, no credit cards please.

Fowler Family Farm

Alana at Fowler 8.13.06 AMFounded in January 2008, Fowler Family Farm is a small farm in Grass Valley, California. Farmers Brad and Alana Fowler grew up in Nevada County and have five daughters (Macey, Molly, Morgan, Wendy and Wyatt -that’s right, all girls) who enjoy helping around the farm.

They currently offer chicken, turkey, goose, pork, beef, goat, lamb and eggs, all pasture raised in a pre-1920 America method, without GMOs, herbicides, pesticides, hormones or antibiotics. In addition to their meat products, they also use goats, sheep, cows and pigs for vegetation management. Read more at their website,

Mountain Bounty Farm
