Tahoe Food Hub: Community Soup Night

@ Mellow Fellow – Old Downtown Truckee
Community Soup Nights have been an ongoing tradition in the local Truckee/Tahoe community, with event series each spring and fall season. Originally known as Project MANA’s ‘Stone Soup’, these Soup Nights bring family and friends together to enjoy a warm, affordable and delicious meal made from fresh, local and sustainably sourced ingredients.
Each Community Soup Night is on a Wednesday evening, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. It is a family friendly event. All are welcome to attend and there is no RSVP required. The cost is ONLY $5 at the door for a cup of soup and bread. A fresh salad is available for just $2 more. Mellow Fellow will have drink specials and their famous sausages available for purchase. Enjoy LIVE music by Truckee’s own, Aaron Oropeza. And NEW this year is a GRAND prize raffle…Purchase a raffle ticket for just $5 and enter to win the locals ski package including his & her jackets, trucker hats, two lift tickets to Squaw/Alpine and a pair of skis donated by Tahoe Sports Hub. The event is a collaboration of two local, non-profit organizations committed to creating a more sustainable food community, Tahoe Food Hub and Slow Food Lake Tahoe.
