September is a great time to cook. We still have many of summer’s fruits and vegetables,

with a few new ones from fall. Late Season Tomato-Vegetable Soup honors the last

tomatoes and first fall vegetables. Fennel is coming to market to make a smooth Fennel Soup

with Herb Swirl. A hearty main course soup would be Garbure, cabbage and bean soup

 

from southern France, enriched with ham, bacon and duck confit.
