There are few farms in Nevada County that grow organic starts for sale. Fresh Starts is one, unique in that I offer direct sales at my nursery.
I grow seasonally appropriate starts of many varieties of vegetables, herbs, flowers & perennials. Perennials & many herbs are available year-round; annuals starting in February.
A portion of what I grow is from locally grown & saved seeds, as well as perennials grown from cuttings of mother stock from this bio-region. These plants provide the optimal material to propagate plants that are best adapted to our area.
By visiting my nursery, customers have the one on one experience of meeting & directly speaking with me & see what I grow; something not possible when buying from a commercial venue.
