TEDx Grass Valley featuring Food Love’s Amanda Thibodeau!

By now, TED Talksare a common concept. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design. The talks are a global set of conferences owned by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, formed to disseminate “ideas worth spreading.”

Since TED’s inception in 1984, TED events have gone global, communities are now able to hold their own “TED X” talks, which are independently organized events created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis

You may be wondering why I am writing about this on the LHNC blog, well several week’s ago Grass Valley hosted a TEDx Grass Valley event! One of the featured speakers was LHNC and Food Love Project’s very own Amanda Thibodeau! Her talk was titled “How Loving Food Can Change the World”. I get teary eyed just thinking about the weight of this talk!
