We are pleased to welcome Lyndly Martin in the role of Operations Assistant. Lyndly will be supporting our program and managing our database to get the information we need to better serve our supporters. Geographically, this is not a big move for Lyndly – she was most recently working as the membership coordinator at the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL), whose office is just downstairs from the Sierra Harvest office. She was a stay-at-home mom before taking on that role at SYRCL, and was previously their program coordinator. Lyndly is excited to expand her local nonprofit experience: “I love both organizations and their missions. I love that Sierra Harvest is in the classrooms, educating kids about making healthy food choices, and helping low-income people put gardens in their back yard and be self-supporting. My kids told me that the Food Love summer camp was the best they ever attended.” When she is not working, Lyndly can usually be found spending time with her three children, house cleaning, organizing, going to the river, enjoying their family garden, and playing X-Box and Minecraft. She is very enthusiastic about her new role and being part of a new vision for our local food and farming community: “I’m excited to meet the people who support Sierra Harvest and the volunteers and getting to know everyone!” Please stop by to say hello to our newest staff member or connect with Lyndly via email at lyndly@sierraharvest.org.
